Job description:
You will be M&S;’s first full-time engineer and the founding hire on a new Product & Technology team. For the first several months you are largely on your own on the
engineering side.

The Director of IT owns systems context and IT operations. The Partner & CTO owns direction and partner-facing strategy. You own the build. Year one is hands-on.



You build AI tools and applications that serve both internal teams and clients from day one — the integration substrate, the agent platform, and the LLM based products M&S; puts in front of clients all start in parallel. The client-facing surface deepens as the AI capability matures. This is where the firm’s longer-term tech differentiation lives, and the role grows over time, shaped by the work and the team that forms around you.

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:
10+ years of skilled software development. That's a floor, not a preference.
Has architected one production system end-to-end on Azure. You should be able to walk through the services they chose, the trade-offs, and what failed in production. Certifications on their own aren't enough.
Has shipped at least one production LLM-backed system (an agent, a RAG pipeline, or an LLM integration) with real users.
