Senior Project Engineer - MEP
Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced and competent MEP Engineer with around 6-8 years of experience in execution, coordination, testing & commissioning, and management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for large building construction projects specifically hospitals. The candidate shall be responsible for ensuring timely execution, quality compliance, safety standards, and coordination with all stakeholders for successful delivery of MEP works.
Job Description
About the Role:
Execute and supervise MEP works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
Coordinate with civil, architectural, structural, and specialist contractors for seamless integration of MEP services.
Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to construction milestones.
Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Supervise HVAC, ventilation, firefighting, and plumbing installations.
Ensure proper testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Verify compliance with applicable codes, standards,



and project specifications.
Oversee installation of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, lighting, earthing, and ELV systems.
Coordinate power shutdowns and electrical testing activities.
Ensure safety compliance during electrical works execution.
Supervise water supply, drainage, STP/WTP, and firefighting systems.
Ensure pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning activities are completed satisfactorily.
Coordinate statutory inspections and approvals.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
Track productivity, manpower deployment, and material requirements.
Identify delays and proactively implement mitigation measures.
Ensure all MEP works comply with approved quality standards and QA/QC procedures.
Coordinate inspections and closure of NCRs/snags.
Enforce HSE requirements and protected working practices at site.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
