Accountabilities
The Senior Safety Methods Engineer will develop, improve, and qualify engineering methods used for reactor safety analysis and licensing activities. The role requires close collaboration with technical teams to enhance modeling capabilities, ensure analytical accuracy, and support reliable decision-making throughout advanced reactor development programs.
Develop system-level thermal-hydraulic analysis methods, including modeling strategies, numerical approaches, and closure models.
Perform steady-state and transient system-level analyses to evaluate model behavior, accuracy, and performance limitations.
Support method qualification activities, including numerical verification, applicability assessments, and performance characterization.
Develop and integrate closure models and empirical correlations related to heat transfer, pressure drop, mixing, and component-level physic
