Analyst – Deal Sourcing & Investment Analysis

Role Overview

The Analyst will support the fund in identifying, screening, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities.

The role combines proactive deal sourcing with detailed business, market, financial, and competitive analysis. The selected candidate will interact with founders, startup ecosystem participants, industry experts, advisors, and other investors.

The Analyst will work closely with the fund’s Partners and investment team throughout the investment process—from identifying an prospect and conducting the initial assessment to due diligence, Investment Committee evaluation, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Sourcing and Origination
Identify promising startups and founders within the fund’s target sectors and investment strategy.
Proactively source investment opportunities through research, databases, industry networks, startup events, incubators, accelerators, angel investors, advisors, and other ecosystem participants.




Develop and maintain relationships with founders, investors, investment bankers, accelerators, incubators, universities, and industry professionals.
Attend startup events, conferences, demo days, pitch sessions, and networking forums.
Track emerging sectors, technologies, business models, and investment themes.
Build sector maps and identify companies that may fit the fund’s investment mandate.
Maintain an organised and updated pipeline of potential investment opportunities.
Follow up with founders and intermediaries to obtain relevant information and documents.

2. Initial Screening of Investment Opportunities
Review pitch decks, business plans, financial information, cap tables, and other materials submitted by prospective portfolio companies.
Conduct preliminary discussions with founders to understand the business, product, market opportunity, growth plans, funding requirements, and use of proceeds.
