Overview
Experienced Airbus Design Engineer supporting in-service repairs, technical queries, AOG cases, and structural issues across A350, A380, Single Aisle, and Long Range aircraft. Skilled in damage assessment, repair design, AW/TD/Full Task/RDTS preparation, and providing compliant repair solutions and technical approvals for airline customers.
Responsibilities
Provide Airbus In-Service Design Engineering support for daily repairs, event queries, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) cases across A350, A380, Single Aisle (SA), and Long Range (LR) aircraft programs.
Perform structural assessments and develop repair solutions for Fuselage, Outer Wing, and High Lift structures, with exposure to ATA Chapters 52, 53, and 57.
Analyze aircraft damage reports and conduct technical evaluations to determine repair feasibility and compliance with Airbus airworthiness requirements.
Prepare and issue Technical Comments (AW) and Technical Dispositions (TD) in accordance with Airbus design and approval processes.




Review and approve operator-proposed repairs through AW documentation and develop detailed repair definitions through TD deliverables.
Develop practical, compliant, and cost-effective repair schemes that ensure structural integrity and continued airworthiness of the aircraft.
Prepare and manage Full Task, RDTS, and related engineering deliverables to support complex repair activities.
Respond to airline technical queries within defined service-level agreements and ensure delivery of engineering solutions within agreed turnaround times.
Utilize Airbus reference documentation, including AMM, IPC, SRM, CDL, and Service Bulletins, to support repair design and technical decision-making.
Prepare engineering documents such as RDAF, FCDs, and ASACs when standard repair data is unavailable or requires additional technical justification.
Coordinate with Airbus internal stakeholders to support engineering reviews, validation activities, and approval workflows before customer release.
