Job Description Summary
The Site EHS Leader will provide strategic and operational leadership for all EHS activities at the Vadodara Blades manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for driving a "Safety First" culture, ensuring application of life saving rules at the point of impact; 100% regulatory compliance, and implementing global EHS standards to achieve world-class health, safety, and environmental performance.
Job Description
sKey Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Safety & Culture Leadership
Life Saving Rules (LSR): Champion the implementation and enforcement of Life Saving Rules. Conduct rigorous investigations into any deviations and drive a "zero-harm" mindset through behavioral safety programs.
Risk Management: Perform comprehensive site-wide Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) specifically tailored to composite blade manufacturing (e.g., resin handling, working at heights, heavy material lifting, and fiberglass exposure).
Operational Integration:



Partner with plant leadership to integrate EHS KPIs into daily production huddles and long-term operational excellence goals.
2. Environmental Stewardship & Waste Management
Waste Lifecycle: Oversee the hazardous and non-hazardous waste management program, focusing on reduction at the source, proper segregation, and certified disposal/recycling.
Sustainability: Drive site initiatives to reduce energy consumption, minimize chemical waste, and manage the plant’s carbon footprint in line with GE Vernova sustainability targets.
Pollution Control: Ensure the effective operation of air emission control systems and water treatment facilities, maintaining strict adherence to environmental discharge standards.
3. Regulatory & Government Liaison
Compliance: Maintain a robust legal register. Ensure the plant remains in full compliance with local, state, and central government regulations (GPCB, Factory Inspectorate, Fire Department, etc.).
Government Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for extern
