This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
Your role
The role will entail supporting safety case development during the design, operation, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and for the production of all nuclear safety documentation as part of the Site Licence Conditions.
The domain of the nuclear safety case production offers opportunities to thrive in the following skill sets.
Hazard/fault identification studies e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, HAZAN, FMEA, etc.
Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA).
Deterministic safety assessments (DSA). A
Probabilistic safety assessments (PSA).
Nuclear Safety case development and As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) assessment.
Other key aspects of the role will include assisting in the production of bids and proposals and implementing and contributing to safety initiatives. You will also work within teams that liaise with operators, designers and clients, building a strong relationship with them.
About you
We’re looking for a candidate with > 5 years of working experience in the nuclear safety case skill sets noted above. The candidate should have a Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
The Master degree in these disciplines and nuclear engineering is advantages, however not a requirement for the role.
