Role Summary
The Growth Head – Retail / Direct will be responsible for driving growth, customer acquisition, and revenue expansion for the retail insurance business. This role will focus on scaling retail distribution, building innovative customer acquisition models, and driving profitable growth through direct and partnership-led channels. The role will also be accountable for the retail business P&L; and overall business performance.

Education
MBA or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution preferred.

Experience:
12–18 years of experience in retail sales, business development, or growth leadership roles.
Solid experience in Retail Insurance Sales (B2C), preferably in Health, Life, or General Insurance.
Proven track record of scaling direct and partnership-led distribution channels.

Preferred Industry Experience: Insurance, Healthcare, InsurTech, BFSI

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Growth & P&L; Ownership
Develop and execute growth strategies to drive retail business expansion, revenue, and profitability.
Own the retail business P&L;, including revenue growth,



cost optimization, and overall business performance.
Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and growth levers to accelerate scale.

2. Retail Sales Leadership
Lead and scale retail insurance sales across direct, digital, and partnership channels.
Drive customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and cross-sell initiatives to deliver sustainable growth.
Strengthen the customer experience and market positioning of the retail business.

3. Channel Development & Partnerships
Build and scale innovative retail distribution channels and strategic partnerships.
Establish a hospital-embedded retail insurance channel that delivers seamless customer access and distribution without reliance on a traditional agency-led model.
Develop and manage relationships with healthcare providers, institutions, and other key ecosystem partners.
