Role Purpose
The Senior Sous Chef is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in leading and managing the culinary operations of the Jio World Convention Centre. The role ensures the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences across conventions, exhibitions, banquets, corporate events, VIP functions, and large-scale hospitality operations while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Operations
Oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations across banquet, convention, exhibition, and event catering.
Ensure timely production and delivery of high-quality food for multiple simultaneous events.
Maintain consistency in food preparation, presentation, taste, and portion control.
Supervise all kitchen sections to ensure smooth operational flow and adherence to service timelines.
Support the Executive Chef in planning and executing high-profile events and VIP functions.
Menu Planning & Innovation
Assist in designing innovative menus tailored to diverse client requirements and event formats.




Introduce recent recipes, presentation styles, and culinary trends to enhance guest experiences.
Ensure menu standardization and recipe compliance across all kitchen operations.
Collaborate with the culinary leadership team on seasonal promotions and special event menus.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop Sous Chefs, Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs, and kitchen associates.
Conduct regular on-the-job training to enhance culinary techniques, productivity, and service standards.
Ensure proper staffing, duty allocation, and workforce planning.
Foster a collaborative, disciplined, and high-performance kitchen environment.
Food Quality & Guest Experience
Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of quality, taste, presentation, and consistency.
Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance dining experiences.
