Projects Manager

This is a high-level management position over the planning, design, and construction of capital project work. The position is established to ensure high quality review and professional management oversight occurs on all projects from the department. The position is responsible for the comprehensive management of projects, including budget control, quality assurance, timely completion, efficient integration, communication, and administration of the projects’ planning, design, and construction processes. This position will also support the planning for Vital Streets and sidewalks including overseeing community engagement during the planning phase to define scope prior to design. A significant objective for the position is to achieve continuous improvement in engineering services and customer service levels for the clients related to the projects.



General duties will also involve direct supervision of subordinate qualified and paraprofessional permanent, interim and seasonal staff, and outside consultants. This position will report to the Assistant City Engineers and to the City Engineer as required.
