About Business line/Function: Reporting Production Analyst

Position Purpose

The Reporting Production Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day execution of regulatory transaction reporting obligations across EMIR Refit, SFTR, MiFID II covering both EU and UK jurisdictions, and ASIC Rewrite. The role sits at the heart of the first line of defense for regulatory reporting, ensuring that all reportable transactions are submitted accurately, completely and on time to the relevant Trade Repositories and Approved Reporting Mechanisms across jurisdictions.

Reporting to the Regulatory Transaction Reporting team, the Production Analyst works as part of a team with interchangeable resources, each expected to operate across all four regulatory regimes and across both EU and UK jurisdictions where applicable. This versatility is essential to ensure business continuity, balance workload across the team, and provide a single, consistent operating standard regardless of the reporting regime.



For SFTR and MiFID II, the Analyst is responsible for the hands-on day-to-day production of regulatory reporting. For EMIR and ASIC, which are delegated, the Analyst is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of the production performed by the service provider, ensuring reporting obligations are met.

The role combines hands-on production (SFTR, MiFID II), oversight of outsourced reporting performed (EMIR OTC, ASIC), oversight of delegated EMIR reporting on ETD performed by clearing brokers, exception remediation, accuracy controls, reconciliations, pairing & matching, and reporting to senior stakeholders. It requires robust attention to detail, an in-depth understanding of regulatory reporting mechanics across EU and UK regimes, and the ability to challenge and monitor an outsourced provider as effectively as performing the reporting directly.
