Role Description The Safety Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Palghat.

The Safety

Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, conducting regular site inspections, and identifying potential hazards. This role includes developing and delivering safety training sessions, maintaining incident and accident records, and coordinating accident investigations to determine root causes and preventive measures.

The position requires consistent presence on-site to oversee daily safety practices and provide guidance to all personnel.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills to develop, implement, and maintain safe working practices.
- Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess Safety Training skills to design and deliver effective training programs for onsite staff.
- Candidates should possess Security awareness and risk management capabilities to support safe and secure operations.
- Relevant certification or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related field.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, standards, and best practices in industrial and engineering environments.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and influencing safe behaviors.
- Ability to conduct site audits, prepare clear reports, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Prior experience in a safety-focused role within engineering, construction, or facility services is an advantage.
