1. Position Overview The Resident Engineer (RE) shall be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted monitoring, operational support, and maintenance assistance for the RTIS infrastructure deployed under Phase-II for Indian Railways. The role involves proactive system monitoring, incident management, configuration support, SLA compliance, and adherence to CRIS operational and security policies under the AMC agreement.

3. Employment Terms The Resident Engineer shall be deployed at CRIS under the RTIS Phase-II AMC contract. Employment, payroll management, statutory compliance, and HR administration shall remain under SBSS Management Limited.

4. Scope of Work & Responsibilities

Remote monitoring and management of locomotive devices through LMCS and designated tools.

Monitoring of Hub NMS, CLS,



Database (DB), servers, operating systems, and RTIS infrastructure.

¢ Incident identification, documentation, classification, and escalation as per SLA.

¢ Coordination with OEM/vendor engineers for issue resolution.

¢ Implementation of approved configuration changes.

¢ Deployment of software updates, patches, and firmware releases.

¢ Maintenance of logs, reports, and shift handover documentation.

¢ Support during audits, disaster recovery, and backup verification activities.

5. Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / BCA / Diploma in Computer Science / Electronics or equivalent.

6. Experience Requirements

Minimum 25 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Network Monitoring / Control Center Operations.

Experience in Railway / RTIS / Mission-Critical Systems preferred.

Experience in helpdesk/operation control centre for monitoring and managing Redhat Linux Servers, GPS based vehicle tracking system, Configuration of Network Routers (Cisco/Juniper/HP) and Data center Network switches.

7. Working Conditions

247 rotational shifts (including night shifts). Deployment at CRIS, New Delhi. Immediate response required during critical system events.

8. Accountability The Resident Engineer shall be accountable for ensuring operational continuity, SLA compliance, and sustained performance of the RTIS Phase-II infrastructure under the AMC contract until 2027.
