Role purpose
We are looking for a VB/VB.Net developer who can design, implement, and support
functional changes, as part of a project, core development or platform support.
This role will focus on developing a procedural language, being CTL (Capital
Translator Language), which is internal to MUFG Retirement Solutions’ New
Zealand market applications.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
* Designing, coding, and unit testing business code in the new architecture.
* Migrating existing functionality from the existing codebase to the current
architecture.
* (CTL is a bespoke in-house business-oriented development language. Training
will be provided to the successful individual in this role)
Operational Management
* Documenting all development tasks, diagrams, and other artifacts.
* Timely completion of activities, adhering to existing process and quality
standards.
* Participate in team discussions, providing early escalation of issues and
input into the change management process.
Governance & Risk
* Ensure timely completion of activities by adhering with the agreed processes
& quality standards.
* Participate in day-to-day meetings, providing early escalation of issues and
input into change management.
* Support during the completion of QA testing.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience
* Graduates or equivalent in Information Technology
* Exposure to mainstream Development Language to Visual BASIC, VBA, VBScript,
VB.net, C# would be advantageous. Training can be provided where necessary.
* Basic understanding of Development Methodologies - Waterfall, Agile.
