Job Purpose:
BorgWarner Technical Center India is seeking an experienced eMotor Design Methods & Tools Engineer to support the company's electromagnetics and multi-physics engineering capabilities as part of its digital transformation strategy. This role is responsible for the development, validation, automation, and deployment of engineering models, software tools, and digital workflows that enable cutting-edge, optimized, and efficient electric motor designs.
The position focuses on building and integrating eMotor design databases, simulation-driven engineering workflows, optimization frameworks, and graphical user interfaces. It also plays a key role in advancing thermal, electromagnetic, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) engineering capabilities, while supporting enterprise Web Tools/Applications.



Through Python and MATLAB-based software development, workflow automation, and Digital Twin integration, this role helps improve engineering productivity, product performance, and scalability across global engineering teams.
Key Responsibility:
▪ Develop and optimize electric motor design methods, models, and engineering workflows.
▪ Create and maintain digital processes for motor design, simulation, and performance analysis.
▪ Build, validate, and automate engineering models, software tools, and multi-physics workflows.
▪ Develop and maintain eMotor databases, model libraries, and reference architectures.
▪ Create software solutions using Python and MATLAB for automation, data processing, simulation integration, and design optimization.
