This role will be part of the OTC Equity Confirmations drafting team, supporting one of our investment banking clients.
Job Description
Coverage vanilla and exotic products.
Draft Confirmations requests from counterparties and internal stakeholders.
Risk mitigate and confirm OTC derivative transitions with both internal and external clients via paper or electronic confirmation process.
Deal with trade confirmation language discrepancies and economic breaks, investigating issues to confirm root cause and manage through to resolution
Collaborate with counterparties and internal stakeholders - resolving urgent issues, clarification of issues or drafting points on outstanding trade confirmations.
Create confirmation templates where necessary, seeking Sales, Trading and Legal approvals.
Support Risk, Legal and Trading teams, proposing solutions across documentation.
Deliver strategic projects to drive efficiency and enhanced controls.
Manage other tasks assigned as demand dictates.
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within the structured products space
Knowledge of the 2002 and 2006 ISDA Equity and Swap Definitions & terms
Knowledge of key economic (& non-economic) terms within Confirmation documentation
