The Role

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, in partnership with NHS Education Scotland, has an exciting chance to train as a registered Clinical Scientist in Respiratory and Sleep Physiology.
Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will gain experience delivering specialist respiratory and sleep physiology services to adults referred from a wide range of clinical specialties. Throughout your training, you will develop the knowledge,
skills and competencies required to register as a Clinical Scientist while contributing to high-quality, patient-centred care.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
This is a 3-year fixed-term funded training post; you will be working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday - day shift with rotational nightshift and back shift
Your primary base will be Gartnavel General Hospital; however you will be expected to work across other NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde sites as part of your training programme. You will gain experience in respiratory physiology laboratories, cardiopulmonary exercise testing services and a dedicated sleep laboratory with inpatient sleep facilities.
