About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Category Lead to define, build, and scale one of our categories from the ground up
This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role that combines category ownership, product thinking, business strategy, and cross-functional execution. The ideal candidate will have experience owning large business categories, driving growth, and building customer-centric products at scale.
What You'll Do :
- Own the end-to-end strategy, growth, and P&L; of the category.
- Design customer-first financing journeys where interest is charged only on the utilized amount, creating a adaptable borrowing experience.
- Identify new customer segments, use cases, and growth opportunities across merchants, D2C brands,
SMEs, and digital businesses.
- Drive category performance through data-led decision making, experimentation, and continuous optimization.
- Monitor portfolio performance, customer adoption, profitability, and key business metrics.
- Work closely with leadership to launch and scale new initiatives as part of Paytm's new venture.
What We're Looking For :
- 7-10 years of experience in Category Management, Product Ownership, Business Management, or General Management.
- Strong experience owning and scaling a business category or product with measurable business impact.
- Strong understanding of customer journeys, marketplace ecosystems, supply chain, logistics, merchant platforms, or financial products.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large portfolios, drive business growth, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
