Purpose:
Ensure accurate Procurement Planning to procure the highest quality parts / merchandise at the lowest possible price, within set timeframes and in correct amounts, while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction and cost saving on an ongoing basis. Ensure clarity on all processes of procurement, monitor compliance of same. Position should have valuable hands on experience of procurement function, sourcing, team handling, new vendor development, cost saving initiatives, along with strong analytical ability.
SOP: Understand and implement purchasing & contract management instructions, policies and procedures. Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials and lead times of materials within specified quality parameters.
Procurement Function: Ensure Procurement Plans to achieve position objectives, are made monitored and delivered. Review material shortages affecting product assemblies. Arrive at monthly / weekly& Quarterly Procurement Plans to meet Production Schedules. Process –all requisitions of bought outs,



consumables (Commodity: automation, electrical products, electronic products, miscellanies bought outs) and related spares, Non-Commercial and Warranty parts. Ensure accurate forecasting and planning to keep min-max levels of long lead products. Ensure sufficient stock of products at vendor’s end.
Compliance: Terms, Statutory & Quality. Ensure correct and timely submission of documentation for the payment to vendors. Ensure payments are made as per terms. Ensure delivery tracking and then coordinate with logistics for pick up and receipt.
Analysis: Compile Report for Supplier Performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste.
Budget & Cost Control: Ensure Implementation and Control on Budget by tracking budget variance for the function. Present Variance with Explanations & solutions periodically and seek app
