What does a successful Engineering Manager do at Fiserv?
A successful Engineering Manager at Fiserv leads the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and highly available components of our Merchant Acquiring Platform, supporting authorization, clearing, settlement, and interchange processing across multiple regions.
This role is responsible for building and leading high‑performing engineering teams, ensuring strong technical execution,



and driving predictable delivery of high-quality software solutions that solve complex business problems.
What will you do
Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing technical direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
Own engineering delivery including scope, quality, timelines, and technical outcomes.
Oversee design, development, and implementation of Java-based microservices and APIs.
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, SRE, and Operations teams to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Drive engineering best practices such as design reviews, code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD adoption.
Ensure systems are designed with reliability, scalability, and operational readiness in mind.
Participate in incident reviews and guide teams toward long-term corrective solutions.
