Role Description The Red Team Assessment professional will conduct simulated cyberattacks to identify vulnerabilities across networks, applications, endpoints, and human factors, and provide detailed findings and remediation recommendations. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing red team exercises, performing penetration tests, social engineering campaigns, and adversary emulation, as well as documenting results and presenting technical and executive-level reports.
The role involves collaborating closely with blue teams, IT, and security stakeholders to improve defenses, refine playbooks, and support incident readiness. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai,
requiring close coordination with local and global client teams and occasional after-hours engagements aligned with assessment activities.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex environments, identify security gaps, and interpret assessment results.
- Effective communication skills for explaining technical findings, preparing clear reports, and presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on assessment skills, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, social engineering, and adversary emulation.
- Experience in education and training, such as conducting security awareness sessions, red vs. blue exercises, and knowledge transfer to client teams.
- Solid understanding of networks, operating systems, cloud platforms, and common attack techniques and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK;).
- Familiarity with offensive security tools and methodologies (e.g., Kali Linux, C2 frameworks, scripting with Python/PowerShell, and common exploitation toolsets).
- Relevant certifications are beneficial (e.g., OSCP, OSCE, CRTO, CEH, or similar offensive security credentials).
- Ability to work ethically within defined rules of engagement, maintain confidentiality, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, cooperative environment.
