Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Recovery Officer role based in Shirpur.

The Recovery

Officer is responsible for monitoring overdue accounts, following up with customers, and implementing effective debt recovery strategies in line with regulatory and bank policies. Daily tasks include contacting customers through phone and in-person visits, negotiating repayment plans, documenting interactions, and preparing recovery reports for management. The role involves coordinating with branch staff and the finance team to review account histories, assess risk, and recommend appropriate recovery actions.

Officer is expected to maintain professional, respectful communication, support customers in resolving their obligations, and contribute to the bank’s asset quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to communicate effectively and build trust with customers.
- Candidates should possess Debt Collection experience and practical knowledge of recovery processes and legal/regulated practices.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills and a foundational understanding of Finance to review account data, assess recovery options, and prepare reports.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and basic proficiency in MS Office or similar tools.
- Relevant experience in banking, microfinance, or financial services, particularly in collections or credit control, is beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in office in Shirpur, manage field visits, and comply with the bank’s ethical and regulatory standards.
