Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Reality Capture Manager to lead our reality capture operations across building, industrial, infrastructure, heritage, and digital twin projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in 3D laser scanning, survey control establishment, point cloud processing, and project execution , while leading field and office teams to deliver high-quality reality capture data within project timelines.

This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, project management, client coordination, and leadership. The Reality Capture Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering reality capture projects from site mobilization through final point cloud handover.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution

- Lead end-to-end execution of reality capture projects across multiple sites.
- Develop project execution plans, scanning methodologies, resource allocation, and project schedules.
- Interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and project specifications to develop efficient scanning strategies.
- Plan scan locations, survey control requirements, and field workflows to achieve complete data coverage and required accuracy.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout project execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time while meeting quality, safety, and commercial objectives.

1. Survey Control & Geospatial Referencing

- Plan and establish survey control networks using Total Station and GNSS equipment.
- Execute geo-referencing and coordinate transformation for large infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Ensure accurate referencing of point cloud data to project coordinate systems.




- Validate survey accuracy and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Resolve survey control and registration challenges during project execution.

1. Reality Capture Operations

Lead on-site data acquisition using:
- FARO Focus Laser Scanners
- SLAM LiDAR Systems
- Mobile Mapping Systems
- UAV-based Reality Capture

Supervise field teams to ensure:
- Complete project coverage
- Optimum scan planning
- High field productivity
- Equipment calibration and maintenance
- Compliance with site safety requirements
- Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure uninterrupted project execution.

1. Point Cloud Processing & Registration

Lead processing and registration of point cloud datasets using:
- FARO Scene
- Autodesk ReCap
- Global Mapper

Perform:
- Target-based registration
- Cloud-to-cloud registration
- Geo-referencing
- Noise removal
- Dataset optimization
- Accuracy validation
- Quality assurance checks
- Review registration reports and ensure datasets comply with project accuracy requirements before delivery.

1. Data Management & Quality Assurance

- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for field data acquisition and office processing.
- Validate completeness, accuracy, and consistency of captured datasets.
- Organize project data, maintain backups, and ensure proper documentation and archival.
- Prepare registered point cloud deliverables in industry-standard formats (RCP, RCS, E57, LAS, etc.).

1. Team Leadership & Resource Management

- Lead, mentor, and supervise surveyors, laser scanning engineers, and data processing teams.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and project resources efficiently across multiple projects.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for field and office workflows.
- Conduct technical reviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

1. BIM & Digital Delivery Coordination

- Possess a sound understanding of Scan-to-BIM and Scan-to-CAD workflows to facilitate seamless transition from reality capture to digital deliverables.
- Coordinate with BIM, CAD, and engineering teams to ensure point cloud data is complete, accurate, and suitable for modelling as per client standards and project specifications.
- Review modelling requirements, resolve data-related queries,



and support technical coordination throughout project execution.
- Ensure deliverables align with project specifications, client expectations, and downstream engineering requirements.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD will be considered an added advantage.

1. Client Coordination & Project Reporting

- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during project execution.
- Participate in technical meetings, site coordination discussions, and project reviews.
- Prepare project progress reports, execution updates, quality reports, and risk assessments.
- Proactively identify execution risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Support proposal preparation, technical presentations, and business development activities where required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, Geospatial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4–5+ years of relevant experience in 3D laser scanning, LiDAR, surveying, and reality capture projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary survey and scanning teams on large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Experience coordinating with BIM, CAD, and engineering teams for successful project delivery.
