Job Description

To act in a senior technical capacity in producing WSP engineering related project deliverables relating to power system Protection & Control (P&C;) for Transmission & Distribution, Renewable (Onshore & Offshore wind/ Solar), US projects.

Responsibilities

Create detailed engineering drawings for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, covering both Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 66kV up to 400kV (with a particular emphasis on 132kV voltages and above)
Preparation and development of Physical design deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Layout plan and section drawings, Erection Key Diagram, Grounding Layout, Lightning Protection Layout, Equipment Grounding philosophy, Cable routing layout, Conduit Layout and details, Cable Trench Layout using AutoCAD 2D software. Added advantage for 3D software knowledge.
Develop drawings to support detailed engineering, such as Land Utilisation Plan, Elevations, Above and Below Grade Conduit layouts, Grounding layout & it’s connection details,



Lighting and Lightning protection with respective details, Bill of Materials.
Facilitate coordination of design activities across various departments, including Civil/Structural and P&C.;
Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.
Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.
Coordinate with team members and monitor project schedules, ensuring submissions meet high-quality standards.
Collaborate with WSP US office on design activities.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
Develop and enhance processes, tools, and potentially implement current technologies into the design process.
