The Fraud Specialist investigates and resolves cases of potential fraud from start to finish. They must have great communication skills, the ability to work well on their own but also with others, possess solid decision making ability, and be able to meet or exceed KPI targets. They suggest process improvements to increase efficiency of processes and involve relevant internal stakeholders (e.g.Fraud analysts, Customer Service etc) when required.
Responsibility
Investigate and resolve cases of potential fraud from start to finish within the specified SLA
Perform assigned detection/monitoring/project tasks with meaningful and actionable observations documented
Escalation of rule and/or process improvement opportunities to the Operational excellence,analysts and team management
Meets KPI/Objective requirements for operational work conducted
Provides regular feedback on tooling and processes towards achievability of KPI/Objective.
Able to identify and flag incidents based on set thresholds
Ability to analyse patterns or available data and provide relevant information to the incident lead and incident manager to proceed further.
Work effectively with team members and leadership by communicating fraud trends and sharing ideas and knowledge in a constructive and positive manner
Ability to perform well in a fast paced environment and positively adapt to change
Skillset
Graduate in any discipline
3-4 years years experience in fraud detection and investigation.
Experience of working towards targets and hitting KPI’s
Good analytical skills and keen eye to detail
Possesses strong internet research skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
Team player - worked as part of a team before and work well with others
Must have strong decision making ability and be self-disciplined
