RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design and develop electrical systems for Solid State Transfer Switch (STS)
products in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnection drawings,
BOMs, and engineering documentation using electrical CAD tools.
* Select and qualify electrical components such as SCRs, MCCBs, contactors,
transformers, fuses, busbars, current transformers, voltage sensing circuits,
relays, power supplies, and auxiliary devices.
* Perform electrical calculations including cable sizing, busbar sizing, power
loss, thermal analysis, short-circuit withstand verification, and protection
coordination.
* Support product design verification and validation through functional,
thermal, dielectric, EMC, and reliability testing.
* Ensure product compliance with applicable standards such as UL 1008S, UL
508A, IEC 60947, IEC 62040, and other relevant international standards.
* Investigate product issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement
corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Collaborate with Mechanical,
Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply
Chain teams to achieve design objectives and improve manufacturability.
* Provide engineering support for prototype builds, pilot production,
manufacturing, and field issue resolution.
* Drive cost reduction, value engineering, component lifecycle management, and
alternate part qualification activities.
* Prepare engineering change requests (ECR/ECO) and maintain design
documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
* Support certification activities by coordinating with regulatory agencies and
test laboratories.
* Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, risk assessments, and technical
discussions with internal stakeholders and customers.
