QA Engineer (Manual Testing)

Experience: 1 to 3 Years

Preferred Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software. In this role, you will be responsible for validating new features and existing functionality across web, mobile, and API platforms. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to understand requirements, identify edge cases, execute comprehensive test plans, and ensure defect-free releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand product requirements, user journeys, and functional workflows thoroughly.
- Prepare detailed test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data based on business requirements.
- Perform end-to-end manual testing, including:
- Functional Testing
- Sanity Testing
- Regression Testing
- Integration Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- User Acceptance Validation (UAT)
- Execute testing for Web, Mobile, and API-based applications.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and perform comprehensive re-testing.
- Ensure production readiness by validating all critical scenarios before release.
- Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics.
- Recommend improvements to product quality,



usability, and testing processes.
- Contribute towards improving QA standards, processes, and test coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1 to 3 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Hands-on experience testing Web applications, Mobile applications, and REST APIs.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and best practices.
- Experience in writing detailed test cases, executing test scenarios, and reporting defects.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or equivalent.
- Good debugging and analytical skills to identify and isolate issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently own feature testing from requirement analysis through production release.

Good to Have

- Exposure to Automation Testing using Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary software release practices.
- Experience working on consumer-facing or large-scale web/mobile applications.
