Python Backend Developer AI Platform

Role Summary

We're looking for a strong Python Backend Developer to join our enterprise HRTech/LMS platform team. You'll build APIs and backend services that power the product, and get direct exposure to Generative AI features such as AI assistants, document search, and RAG-based knowledge tools. You'll build features used by leading enterprises across hiring, learning, employee engagement, and HR automation.

You will build new AI-powered product capabilities.

Prior hands-on GenAI experience is a plus, not a requirement. If you're a solid Python developer with curiosity about LLMs and AI — even from a personal project, hackathon, or self-learning — we want to9 hear from you.

What You'll Work On

- Enterprise HRTech platform (LMS/HRMS modules)
- FastAPI-based microservices
- OpenAI APIs & LangChain-based features
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI agents
- Resume intelligence & document search
- LLM integrations for product features
- Product development

Key Responsibilities
- Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
- Design and maintain modules for user management, workflows, reports, notifications, and document handling.
- Work with SQL databases; write and optimise queries.
- Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and testable code.
- Collaborate with product, QA, frontend, and AI teams to ship features end-to-end.
- Contribute to AI-powered modules (chatbots, search, recommendations, document processing) alongside senior engineers — full ownership grows with experience.
- Work with senior developers on integrating Python services with our existing Java-based systems.

Mandatory Skills




- Strong hands-on Python programming — OOP and data structures.
- Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Good understanding of Git/version control.
- Solid programming fundamentals, debugging, and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) You don't need to tick every box below — these are things we're happy to teach, and any exposure is a bonus:
- Exposure to OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or Hugging Face.
- Basic understanding of RAG, embeddings, or vector search (FAISS, Chroma, Pinecone).
- Interest in or basic exposure to prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-Learn.
- Basic Docker knowledge.
- Ability to read Java or Spring Boot code (not required to write it).
- Exposure to background jobs, Celery, Redis, or schedulers.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience Required
- 1–4 years of experience in Python backend development.
- Candidates with a GitHub portfolio, personal AI projects, hackathon experience, or internships are welcomed even without formal AI job experience.
- 3–4 year backend developers looking to move into AI-focused product work are strongly encouraged to apply.

Educational Qualification B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience and a strong project portfolio will also be considered.
