Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, engineering, and execution of hydropower and pumped storage projects. The role involves detailed design and coordination of electro-mechanical (E&M;) systems including turbines, generators, balance of plant (BOP), and associated electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed designs for electro-mechanical systems in hydropower and pumped storage projects
Prepare specifications,



design calculations, and technical drawings for:
Turbines (Francis, Pelton, Kaplan, reversible pump-turbines)
Generators and excitation systems
Transformers, switchgear, and protection systems
Balance of plant systems (cooling water, drainage, compressed air, HVAC)
Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements
Coordinate between mechanical and electrical disciplines for integrated system design
Ensure compatibility between turbine-generator systems and grid requirements
Support interface management between civil, hydro-mechanical, and E&M; components
Prepare technical reports, design basis documents, BOQs, and tender specifications
Support preparation of bid documents and technical evaluations
Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO, etc.)
Provide engineering support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
Review FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests)
