Job Summary The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of construction materials, equipment, and services required for ongoing projects. The role ensures procurement is cost-effective, complies with company policies, and supports uninterrupted project execution.
- Source construction materials, tools, machinery, and services.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to improve pricing and quality.
Material Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers,
and Store personnel regarding material requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.
- Track order status until delivery is completed.
- Resolve issues related to shortages, damaged materials, or delayed deliveries.
Cost Control
- Compare market prices and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain procurement within approved budgets.
- Monitor price fluctuations of construction materials.
Documentation
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Prepare procurement reports and vendor performance reports.
Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with stores to monitor inventory levels.
- Avoid excess purchasing and stock shortages.
- Verify material receipts with delivery documents.
