Role & responsibilities

- Execute purchase planning based on demand forecasts and operational needs

- Identify, evaluate, and develop recent vendors

- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to ensure cost optimization

- Prepare comparative statements and support approval processes

- Create and manage purchase orders in SAP

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, warehouse, quality)

- Ensure timely material availability to meet business and customer requirements

- Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply-related issues

- Track and optimize inventory levels to minimize holding cost

- Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects

- Ensure quality compliance of procured materials

- Visit vendors periodically to strengthen relationships and address concerns

- Generate MIS reports on spend, savings, and procurement performance
