Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of materials and services required for business operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in vendor management, purchase planning, cost negotiation, and procurement processes while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure raw materials, components, consumables, equipment, and services as per business requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Finance to meet procurement requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and contractual commitments.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase documentation, and vendor databases.
- Track material deliveries and follow up with suppliers to avoid production delays.




- Ensure inventory levels are maintained by coordinating with the Stores department.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through effective sourcing and negotiation.
- Resolve supplier-related issues regarding quality, delivery, and commercial matters.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, statutory requirements, and company policies.

Key Skills Required:
- Solid knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
- Vendor development and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and cost analysis skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain concepts.
- Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, Word).

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
