Why This Role

Today, statement of values (SOV) data arrives incomplete, inconsistent, and buried in spreadsheets, but underwriters price and select risk on top of it anyway. You'll lead the effort that turns raw SOVs into the highest-quality property risk data in the market, enriching every schedule with geospatial, public, and third-party data sources. You'll use your knowledge of buildings and project engineering to make that data not just complete but distinctive, capturing the construction and resilience detail that materially changes how a risk should be understood and priced.

Better data means better underwriting, and this role sits at the center of that. It is a hands-on, individual-contributor role based in India, and a foundational hire as we build this capability.

What You'll Build

- Own the end-to-end SOV enrichment process, ingesting client Statements of Values and augmenting them with various data sources.
- Turn enriched data into an underwriting asset that lets underwriters select and price risk with confidence.
- Build the data flywheel, establishing feedback loops between enrichment quality, risk selection, loss experience, and pricing so the portfolio compounds a durable competitive edge over time.
- Apply project engineering and building expertise to make our data distinctive, capturing the details that separate a well-understood risk from a mispriced one.
- Define the quality standards, workflows, and tooling for the back office.
- Set the standard for how this work is done, building repeatable processes and clear documentation as the capability scales.





What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is genuinely excited about what contemporary technology can unlock in an industry that has resisted change, and who wants to build something that has not been built before.

- Deep, hands-on experience enriching and managing commercial real estate (CRE) property insurance data and Statements of Values (SOVs), ideally at a data-driven insurtech, MGA, carrier, broker, or analytics provider.
- A working knowledge of buildings and engineering, including construction types, structural systems, building codes, and resilience characteristics, and how each translates into insurable risk.
- Fluency with property data enrichment sources and methods across public and private data (e.g., GIS, public records).
- Experience building or improving data pipelines, quality frameworks, and operational workflows, and comfort working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering.
- A background in project engineering, structural/civil engineering, or building and construction consulting, applied to real-world properties.
- Comfort owning an ambiguous mandate, doing the work yourself first, and turning it into a repeatable, scalable operation.
- A grasp of how underwriters use property data for risk selection and pricing, including COPE data, secondary modifiers, and catastrophe exposure.

- This role is based in India. This is a foundational, hands-on hire for our data operation. It requires some overlap of working hours with the US East Coast.
