A Day in the Life
The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist – Cryptography plays a critical role in protecting the data and systems that support Medtronic’s mission to save and improve lives. This role helps lead enterprise encryption key management, public key infrastructure (PKI), code signing and certificate management standards across on‑prem and cloud platforms, enabling secure and resilient technology at scale. The specialist partners closely with application, infrastructure, product, and governance teams to embed cryptographic controls into enterprise platforms, provide guidance during architecture and design reviews,
and enable automated certificate lifecycle management to reduce risk and operational disruption. They contribute to cryptography strategy, prioritize initiatives based on risk and business impact, support audits and compliance activities, and mentor others to ensure consistent, secure adoption of cryptographic best practices across the organization.
