Construction Head of Safety –
Position Overview
Lead safety operations for a large-scale semiconductor plant construction project, managing relationships with General Contractor, Client stakeholders, and a 30-person JLL safety team. This role requires semiconductor facility construction expertise and the ability to implement rigorous safety protocols in a complex, high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership & Management Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs for all construction phases,



ensuring compliance with OSHA, local regulations, and semiconductor industry standards. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30 JLL safety professionals, establishing clear performance metrics and accountability structures.
Stakeholder Coordination Serve as primary safety interface between JLL, General Contractor, and Client teams. Facilitate regular safety meetings, coordinate incident response protocols, and ensure alignment on safety standards across all parties. Manage escalation procedures and resolution of safety-related disputes or concerns.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation Conduct ongoing hazard analyses specific to semiconductor construction including cleanroom environments, process equipment installation, chemical handling systems, and utilities infrastructure. Develop site-specific safety plans addressing unique risks of semiconductor facility construction.
