About The Role
- We are looking for a Project lead with deep understanding of Aerodynamics surfaces needs, Advanced structure Design for prototyping and advanced proficiency in CAD parametric modelling. He should have extensive experience in on both aerothermal and thermal cad surface using CATIA and BLENDER tool.
- The ideal candidate must have prior exposure to European OEM/Tier-1 projects, strong knowledge of European automotive regulations, and proven expertise in developing aerothermal and thermal cad surface.
Key Responsibilities
- Aerodynamics based Cad surface Modelling in scope of cleaning and improve aerodynamics surfaces under certain constraint.
- CLASS A surfaces preparation.
- Thermal based Cad surface and mesh creation for Aerothermal development (shields, ducts etc).
- Parametric models are creations of both surface morphing and kinematics.
- Packaging checks and Surface creations in order to avoid interferences.
- Cad surface preparations for 3d Printing and Reworks with Metal -sheet / Metal / carbon fiber molds and modifications.
- Cad Data Storage &
- Reworks Reports.
- Follow on site activities of reworks providing indications and documentation regarding components prepared.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD parametric modelling using Catia &
- Blender for visualization and presentation.
- Focusing on both aerothermal and thermal cad surface modeling using CATIA in order to produce 3dprinted parts and execute reworks.
- Collaborate with testing team during the assembly.
- Interact with European OEMs/Tier-1 customers to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure design acceptance.
Required Skills &
- Qualifications
- Master’s /Bachelor’s in mechanical/automotive engineering or related field.
- 15–18 years of hands-on experience in Automotive aerodynamics design & development.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD parametric modelling proficiency in CATIA &
- Blender.
- Create adjustable (parametric) shape variations of aerodynamic surfaces using Blender tool.
- Experience with CONNECT and Windchill PLM is required
- Deep understanding of Automotive aerothermal and thermal cad.
- Experience working on European OEM/Tier-1 projects with understanding of standards and coding systems.
- Knowledge of the Italian language would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of European automotive regulatory requirements including safety, crash, ergonomic, and environmental standards.
- Robust familiarity with GD&T;, DFMEA, and DFM/DFA practices.
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with Class-A surfacing and styling teams.
- Knowledge of Aerodynamics surfaces needs and Advanced structure Design.
- Previous experience with European OEMs
