Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineering Specialist with strong expertise in Oracle database architecture, automation, platform engineering, and application onboarding. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable database solutions, driving automation initiatives, enabling seamless application onboarding, optimizing database performance, and providing strategic recommendations to support business growth.
Design and architect Oracle database solutions for new application onboarding.
Analyze application requirements and define database infrastructure, high availability, backup, recovery, and security strategies.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure smooth onboarding and production readiness.
Conduct capacity planning and performance forecasting for recent and existing applications.
Automation & Engineering
Lead automation initiatives for Oracle Database administration activities.
Develop and maintain automation solutions for:
o Oracle PSU/RU patching
o Database provisioning
o User management
o Health checks
o Backup validation
o Database refresh and cloning
o Performance monitoring and reporting
Create reusable automation frameworks using Shell, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, or equivalent tools.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort
