Key Purpose of the Job
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring product quality meets defined process and specification requirements by strengthening process controls, driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, rework, scrap, and warranty claims, and ensuring compliance with quality standards across manufacturing operations.
Key Performance Areas

Ensure compliance with process audit plans.
Reduce process deviations, internal rejections, and warranty claims.
Improve 5S adherence and process capability.
Reduce tyre weight variation and compound hold-up.
Ensure effective application of Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA).
Improve process quality and operational efficiency.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
Operational Excellence

Implement and maintain in-process quality assurance systems across production lines.
Monitor process compliance, identify deviations, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Technical, Planning, and Quality teams to resolve recurring quality issues.




Conduct shop floor inspections to identify abnormalities and ensure adherence to SOPs.
Review shift handovers, audit observations, process logs, and line rejections.
Analyze defects, process failures, customer complaints, and warranty returns to identify root causes and implement improvements.
Ensure containment and segregation of material in case of process deviations.
Promote quality awareness and best practices among shop-floor employees.
Participate in quality improvement projects, SPC reviews, rejection reviews, and daily management meetings.
Support risk assessment, validation, and process review activities.

Audit, Inspection & Compliance

Prepare and execute process audit schedules and ensure closure of audit findings.
Coordinate customer, OEM, IATF, and other external audits.
Monitor quality performance across all manufacturing stages and testing activities.
