Company Description The Kalgidhar Society is a long-standing rural education and social impact organization that began in 1986 in Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, with a vision to provide village children the same opportunities as those in cities. Today, it operates 130+ Akal Academies across five northern states, two universities, healthcare institutions, de-addiction centres, and multiple community welfare programs. More than 75,000 students, many of them first-generation learners from farming and laborer families, access quality education through its institutions each year.
The Society’s work has contributed to Punjab’s leading national education outcomes and notable student achievements in competitive exams, reflecting a four-decade investment in human potential. Its initiatives also include large-scale student sponsorship programs for children from highly vulnerable backgrounds.
Role Description The Professor of Nursing will be responsible for leading undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education, including delivering lectures, facilitating clinical demonstrations, and supervising student practice. The role includes designing and updating curricula, aligning teaching with regulatory and accreditation standards, and integrating evidence-based nursing and medical practices into coursework. The professor will mentor and advise students, guide research projects,
and collaborate with healthcare partners to ensure quality clinical placements and community health engagement.
The position involves participation in academic committees, contribution to institutional development, and support for the broader mission of serving rural and underserved communities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajgarh.
Qualifications
- Robust foundation in Nursing and Nursing Education, with the ability to teach and supervise across multiple clinical and academic settings.
- Expertise in Curriculum Development, including designing, implementing, and evaluating nursing programs aligned with regulatory standards.
- Clinical proficiency in Pediatrics and Medicine, with experience in applying evidence-based practice in teaching and supervision.
- Advanced degree in Nursing (Master’s or Doctorate) from a recognized institution, with relevant teaching and clinical experience.
- Knowledge of national nursing council norms, accreditation requirements, and contemporary trends in nursing and healthcare education.
- Demonstrated ability to guide student research, scholarly activities, and community-based health initiatives.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills, with a commitment to equity and inclusion in education.
- Willingness to work in a rural ecosystem, contribute to holistic student development, and support the mission of social upliftment.
