Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain our internal billing workflow platform's VB.NET WinForms desktop application – a critical service in our monthly billing workflow system processing all our monthly client billings before getting invoiced. This is the primary day-to-day responsibility.
Work directly with SQL Server: write and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent jobs
Lead the development of new features, system enhancements, and performance optimization initiatives as part of the platform's ongoing in-place modernization effort
Contribute to planning and execution of the platform's future migration to a modern web-based architecture,



helping evaluate target architecture (e.g., ASP.NET Core/Blazor) and migration strategy alongside BI leadership.
Write and maintain automated tests; grow test coverage from its current thin baseline.
Conduct code reviews, mentor other developers, and drive adherence to the team's established coding standards, style guide, and code-audit protocol
Collaborate with BI, Analyst, Processing, and Submission team stakeholders to translate billing workflow requirements into robust technical solutions
Contribute to technical design decisions for both the current system and its future state
Leverage Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Qualifications
Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent).
7+ years of hands-on software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with VB.NET & .NET Framework , C#, ASP.NET, Core Blazor a
