Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our mobile phone assembly factory in Bangladesh. The role requires managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with local labor laws, BTRC requirements, and international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Planning &
- Control

- Develop production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and market demand.

- Monitor assembly lines (SMT, sub-assembly, testing, final packaging).

- Optimize workforce allocation across shifts (two/three-shift operations).

- Operations &

- Process Management

- Ensure smooth functioning of assembly lines and supporting departments.

- Reduce downtime by coordinating with maintenance teams.

- Monitor material usage, wastage, and reduce production cost per unit.

- Quality &

- Compliance

- Enforce strict quality checks at each stage.

- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and BTRC-approved assembly guidelines.

- Maintain traceability and documentation required for customs and regulators.

- Workforce &

- Team Leadership

- Supervise line leaders, supervisors, and up to [200–500+] operators.

- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 &

- Amendments (2013, 2018) regarding working hours, overtime, and worker rights.

- Provide training to staff on assembly techniques, ESD safety, and workplace discipline.

- Process Improvement &

- Efficiency

- Apply Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles to reduce defects and delays.





- Introduce semi-automation and advanced tools where cost-effective.

- Track KPIs such as productivity, yield, rejection rate, and OEE.

- Safety &

- Workplace Environment

- Enforce factory safety rules, PPE usage, and fire & electrical safety protocols.

- Conduct regular compliance audits for health, safety, and environment.

- Ensure CSR, labor welfare, and compliance with local audit standards (e.g., Accord/Alliance style checks where applicable).

- Reporting &

- Coordination

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports.

- Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D;, and Sales teams.

- Support management in capacity planning and cost analysis.

Qualifications &

- Experience

- Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.

- 5-7 years of experience in mobile phone/electronics assembly, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

- Solid understanding of SMT, assembly line balancing, QA/QC processes, and factory compliance.

- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

- Familiarity with Bangladesh’s labor law, factory compliance standards, and BTRC regulations.
