About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Houdini Environment Generalist with solid artistic and technical capabilities to create large-scale, production-ready environments for feature films, cinematics, animation, and real-time projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Houdini artist with expertise across environment creation, procedural workflows, modelling, look development, and scene assembly.

This role requires someone who can own complex environment builds from concept to final delivery while collaborating closely with relevant teams. The successful candidate will also mentor junior artists and help establish efficient environment workflows across productions.

Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality photorealistic and stylized environments for film, animation, and cinematic projects.
Build complete environments including terrain, architecture, vegetation, props, set dressing, and large-scale landscapes.
Develop procedural environment generation tools and workflows using Houdini.
Create production-ready assets including modelling, UVs, texturing,



look development, and scene assembly.
Design scalable procedural systems for terrain generation, scattering, vegetation, instancing, and environment automation.
Work with concept art, references, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and scan data where applicable.
Collaborate closely with Lighting, FX, Layout, Compositing, and Pipeline teams to ensure seamless integration into production.
Optimise assets and procedural networks for performance while maintaining visual quality.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and contribute to pipeline improvements.
Review work from junior and mid-level artists, providing constructive feedback and mentorship.
Estimate tasks accurately and ensure timely delivery while maintaining studio quality standards.
Maintain clean file structures, naming conventions, and version control practices.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Environment Art, CG, VFX, or Animation
