Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Manager Maintenance to ensure the smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment and utilities within our FMCG production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production machinery and plant utilities.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for reliability improvement.
Ensure optimal functioning of utilities such as generators etc.
Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance schedules with minimal impact on operations.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Maintain maintenance records, logs, and equipment history
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spare availability.




Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and machinery.
Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards, EHS regulations, and company policies.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, machine efficiency, and cost reduction.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance activities when required.
Prepare maintenance reports and present performance metrics to management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
3-6 years of maintenance experience in an FMCG, food processing, beverage, dairy, personal care, or consumer goods manufacturing environment.
Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.
Experience with TPM, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and lean manufacturing practices.
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP
