About the Opportunity

We are a new, well-funded startup building a premium beauty and personal care brand with a long-term vision of creating high-quality products across skincare, personal care, wellness, essential oils, and related categories.

We are looking for an experienced Product Development & Sourcing Consultant who can help us build exceptional products from concept to commercialization.

This is a project-based consulting opportunity, ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience developing and launching consumer products and enjoy working with fast-growing brands.

Scope of Work

You will work directly with the founder and play a key role in building a premium product portfolio.

Product Strategy & Innovation

- Recommend new product opportunities based on consumer demand and market trends.
- Develop innovative product concepts and product roadmaps.
- Identify market gaps and opportunities.
- Recommend product differentiation strategies.

Market Research

Conduct detailed research using

- Amazon
- Competitor analysis
- Consumer reviews
- Google Trends
- Industry reports
- Beauty trend reports
- Ingredient innovation research

Product Development
- Develop products from concept through commercialization.
- Recommend formulations and active ingredients.
- Review and improve formulations.
- Define product specifications.
- Recommend fragrances, textures, product claims, and product positioning.




- Coordinate product sampling and evaluation.

Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Identify and evaluate OEM/ODM manufacturers across India (China experience is an advantage).
- Source packaging suppliers and raw material vendors.
- Obtain quotations and compare suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
- Support supplier onboarding and quality approvals.

Packaging Development
- Recommend premium packaging concepts.
- Coordinate with packaging suppliers and designers.
- Review artwork and label compliance.
- Optimize packaging for customer experience, shipping efficiency, and cost.

Commercial Analysis
- Prepare product costing models.
- Calculate landed costs and target margins.
- Recommend retail pricing.
- Evaluate commercial viability before launch.

Project Coordination

Coordinate with

- Manufacturers
- Packaging vendors
- Designers
- Regulatory partners
- Logistics partners
- Marketplace teams

to ensure products are launch-ready.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for professionals who have:

- 5 years of experience in Beauty, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Wellness, Essential Oils, or FMCG.
- Proven experience developing and launching consumer products.




- Strong sourcing and supplier management experience.
- Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturers.
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding of packaging development.
- Ability to independently manage projects from idea to launch.

- Fixed fee per project
