Job Description — SAP S/4HANA Techno-Functional Lead (Finance)

Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned SAP S/4HANA Finance Techno-Functional Lead to drive modern finance transformation in a manufacturing (metals/steel) environment. The role centres on S/4HANA Finance — the Universal Journal, real-time reporting, embedded analytics and continuous close — with robust hands-on Financial Accounting expertise. The ideal candidate combines deep FI capability with a modern, data-driven finance mindset and sound technical and integration skills. Basic Controlling integration is expected, but the emphasis is firmly on Finance.

Key Responsibilities
● Own hands-on configuration and issue resolution across SAP S/4HANA Finance — General Ledger (Universal Journal / ACDOCA), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting and Taxation (GST / withholding).




● Drive modern finance capabilities — real-time financial reporting, embedded analytics, Fiori-based finance apps, continuous/soft close and Advanced Financial Closing.
● Own month-end / year-end financial close — reconciliations, accruals, foreign currency valuation, GL/subledger tie-outs and statutory reporting readiness.
● Leverage the Universal Journal and Fiori analytical apps to deliver self-service, drill-down financial insight for leadership and finance users.
● Serve as the go-to expert for BAU support, root-cause analysis and timely resolution of production issues raised by finance and business users.
● Manage and get deliverables completed through external vendors and implementation partners — reviewing designs, validating configurations and holding partners accountable to timelines and quality.
