Role Review The PO will oversee regulatory, compliance and operational requirements for the company’s IFSC unit at GIFT City. This is a dual-function role encompassing Investment Operations and Research & Analysis, requiring the candidate to seamlessly manage trade execution, portfolio administration, compliance, and in-depth market research across Indian and US markets.
Key Responsibilities
Part A – Investment Operations
1.
Trade
Execution & Portfolio Management
· Trade Execution: Execute trades across US and Indian markets, ensuring timely and accurate order placement in compliance with internal mandates and regulatory requirements.
· Operations: Manage end-to-end portfolio rebalancing and asset allocation of fund portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategy objectives guidelines.
· Trade Allocation: Perform accurate and timely trade allocations across portfolios, ensuring proper lot-level accounting and compliance with allocation policies.
- Custodian and Fund Accounting Coordination
· Operational Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for custodians and fund accountants; coordinate on settlements, reconciliations, and resolution of operational queries.
· Reporting: Prepare and submit all necessary reports, files, and documentation to custodians and fund accountants on a regular and ad-hoc basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Compliance
Operations – PMS & Investment Adviser
· Periodic Filings: Track, prepare, and file all monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance submissions within prescribed deadlines as required under PMS/IA regulations.
· Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with IFSCA, GIFT SEZ authorities, auditors,
and other related government bodies. Coordinate regulatory filings, inspections, audits, and submissions. Facilitate responses to queries, notices, and regulatory observations.
· Compliance Calendar: Maintain and update a compliance calendar to ensure no regulatory filing is missed; coordinate with internal teams to gather required data and documentation.
· Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on circulars and regulatory changes; implement new compliance requirements efficiently.
· Record Keeping: Maintain proper records, logs, and audit trails for all compliance activities to ensure inspection readiness at all times. · Oversee statutory compliance and Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT) frameworks and IFSCA guidelines.

Trading & Operational Activities
· Operational Support: Support and oversee various trading-related and back-office operational activities, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.
Part B – Research & Analysis

Macro
Research
· Conduct research on macroeconomic trends, monetary policy developments, and market dynamics across both India and US markets, providing actionable insights.

Company
Analysis & Coverage
· Quarterly Results: Perform detailed quarterly earnings analysis for portfolio companies (US and Indian markets)
and coverage universe, identifying key trends, beats/misses, and management commentary takeaways.
· Investment Notes: Prepare initiating coverage notes, follow-up notes, and quarterly notes covering fundamental analysis, updated thesis, revised estimates, and earnings review.
· Executional Idea Analysis: Evaluate broad strategic and executional ideas presented by companies – including capital allocation plans, business restructuring, expansion strategies, and other corporate actions – and assess their impact on investment thesis and valuation.
Preferred Candidate Profile
· Education: Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Law, or a related field
· Experience: Minimum 5 years in related activities in the securities market or financial products including in a portfolio manager, fund manager, investment advisor, broker dealer, investment banker, wealth manager, research analyst, credit rating agency, market infrastructure institution, financial sector regulator.
· Sound understanding of IFSCA/SEBI regulations, AML/KYC norms, and fund structures.
· Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and experience with PMS software/trading platforms; familiarity with financial modelling and valuation frameworks is an advantage.
· Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, high efficiency, ability to work under pressure, robust analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills for inter-departmental and regulatory coordination.
