Job Role: Pricing – Ocean Export

Job Summary The Pricing Executive – Ocean Export will be responsible for preparing competitive freight quotations, negotiating with shipping lines and overseas agents, and supporting the sales team with accurate and timely pricing for ocean export shipments. The role requires strong knowledge of freight forwarding, ocean freight tariffs, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and provide competitive ocean export freight quotations to the sales team and customers.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agents to obtain freight rates and service details.
- Maintain and update freight rate databases and pricing sheets .
- Analyze market rates, trade lanes, and carrier services to ensure competitive pricing.
- Support the sales team with tender submissions and contract pricing .
- Negotiate rates with carriers to achieve better cost advantages.
- Ensure all quotations include freight, local charges, surcharges, and transit details .




- Follow up on quotes and assist the sales team in converting opportunities into confirmed bookings.
- Maintain records of quotations, contracts, and rate agreements.
- Coordinate with operations and documentation teams to ensure pricing accuracy.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or Business Administration .
- 5-10 years of experience in pricing or freight forwarding, preferably in ocean export.

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of ocean freight pricing and international trade lanes .
- Experience dealing with shipping lines and freight carriers .
- Valuable negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and freight management systems .
- Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in freight forwarding / logistics company .
- Knowledge of incoterms, shipping documentation, and export processes .
