Position: Press Shop Engineer

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. Mechanical or Production Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and monitor daily Press Shop production.
- Operate and supervise Mechanical, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Presses.
- Ensure production targets, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate die setting, trial, and changeover activities.
- Monitor machine utilization, OEE, and productivity.
- Control rejection, scrap, and material wastage.
- Improve part yield and optimize sheet material utilization.
- Support preventive maintenance and troubleshoot press-related issues.
- Coordinate with Tool Room, PPC, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, and safety practices.
- Maintain daily production reports and MIS.

Required Skills

- Experience in Automotive Sheet Metal Press Shop.




- Knowledge of Progressive, Tandem & Transfer Dies.
- Understanding of Press Shop processes, production planning, and quality control.
- Basic knowledge of product costing, yield improvement, scrap analysis, and process optimization.
- Hands-on experience in machine troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 is preferred.
- Positive communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
