Job Purpose:
Lead drilling and wellsite HSE activities for clean energy projects by driving implementation of safety systems, operational risk controls and regulatory compliance measures to support secure execution of drilling, workover and associated field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HSE plans, procedures and operational safety frameworks for drilling, workover and wellsite activities.
Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments and job safety analyses for drilling operations, rig movements, pressure-related activities and field execution tasks.
Review drilling programmes, operational procedures and contractor execution plans from an HSE and operational risk management perspective.
Drive implementation of permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures, confined space controls and high-risk activity management at drilling sites.
Monitor drilling operations, rig activities and contractor practices to identify unsafe conditions, operational risks and compliance gaps.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking related to drilling and wellsite operations.
Coordinate emergency preparedness drills, well control response planning and crisis management activities at operational locations.
Conduct HSE audits, site inspections and compliance reviews across drilling rigs, contractor camps and operational facilities.
Coordinate with drilling, subsurface, operations and contractor teams for implementation of safe operating practices and risk mitigation measures.
Monitor compliance with statutory safety requirements, DGMS guidelines, operational standards and internal HSE procedures.
Drive safety awareness programmes, toolbox talks, behavioral safety initiatives and contractor HSE engagement activities.
Review contractor HSE performance, mobilization readiness and safety compliance documentation prior to field deployment.
