Role & responsibilities

- Develop short-term and long-term maintenance plans for boiler, turbine, balance of plant (BOP), and utility systems to ensure maximum plant availability.
- Monitor key plant performance parameters such as Heat Rate, Plant Load Factor (PLF), Auxiliary Power Consumption (APC), Boiler Efficiency, Turbine Efficiency, and Overall Plant Efficiency.
- Analyze daily operating data and identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and energy performance.
- Prepare annual shutdown plans, preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinate execution with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for efficiency losses, recurring equipment failures, and unplanned shutdowns; recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor fuel consumption, steam parameters, combustion efficiency, and optimize boiler and turbine performance to reduce operating costs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports covering plant performance, maintenance activities, KPIs, and improvement initiatives.




- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities with minimum downtime.
- Track maintenance KPIs such as equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, forced outages, and maintenance compliance.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, safety standards, environmental norms, and quality management systems.
- Participate in energy audits, performance testing, efficiency improvement projects, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Support budgeting, spare parts planning, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and resource planning for plant maintenance activities.
